Stronger Efforts Against Piracy Urged: The American Film Marketing Assn. (AFMA) has urged the Bush Administration and Congress to seek stronger multilateral and bilateral treaties with trading partners to ensure protection for U.S. copyright holders in the international motion picture marketplace. AFMA’s position was outlined at a media conference held Wednesday at the National Press Club in connection with a report demonstrating the importance of the copyright-based industries to the overall U.S. economy.
