Small-Business Optimism Drops: The small-business community’s economic mood this year took the steepest drop since the recession year 1982, according to a survey by Dun & Bradstreet Corp. The survey of 5,000 small businesses found that 23% are pessimistic about their economic prospects during the next 12 to 18 months. A year ago, pessimists made up 13% of the total.
