Live Entertainment Inc.: The Los Angeles-based entertainment software supplier, distributor and retailer said its third-quarter net income fell 36% from a year ago to $7.95 million as revenue rose 84% to $182.7 million. The company said the income decline was primarily the result of a higher effective tax rate in 1990. 1989 pre-tax income included $8 million in proceeds from a key-man life insurance policy, paid upon the death of CEO Jose Menendez.
