Dublin High Court Orders Extradition

DUBLIN, Ireland — The Supreme Court of Ireland on Wednesday ordered the extradition to Britain of an alleged IRA bomber who is in his 36th day of a hunger strike to fight extradition.
The accused man, Desmond Ellis, was flown by military aircraft to London after losing the appeal. He will stand trial in Britain on conspiracy and explosives possession charges arising from a 1981 London bombing campaign in which three people died, police said.
It was the first time the Irish court has ordered the extradition to Britain of someone wanted on terrorist charges under new Irish laws intended to simplify the extradition procedure.
