Mary’s Danish, a hot new band from Los Angeles whose music is a catchy hybrid of riveting rock ‘n’ roll and sweltering funk, will perform Sunday night at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach. The group is led by lead singer-songwriters Gretchen Seager and Julie Ritter, who met while attending University of California, Berkeley, in the late 1980s, and boasts a feisty rhythm section propelled by drummer James Bradley Jr., who has worked on the road with Anita Baker and Jeffrey Osborne. Show starts at 8 p.m.
