The City Council is seeking to ban bow-and-arrow hunting within city limits, despite an agreement requiring hunters to stay off private property.
By a 4-1 vote Tuesday, the council instructed City Atty. J. Kenneth Brown to draft a proposal to be discussed Dec. 11. Councilman Sandy McHenry said the proposal was premature.
San Dimas Canyon residents have accused hunters of tracking deer on their property. During a special meeting Nov. 19, hunters and residents agreed to post no-trespassing signs on private property. Also, city officials agreed to post signs designating huntings areas in the Angeles National Forest.
