A Newsletter That’s Just for Kids

Nancy Ann Van Wie of Laguna Hills, who writes and publishes the “Travels With Max” series of travel and activity books for young children, is now publishing a children’s newsletter to encourage children “to experience and explore the rewards of reading.”
“Travels With Max--A Newsletter Just for Kids,” introduces children to faraway places, different cultures, current events and human interest stories.
Van Wie says the newsletter, which is aimed at children aged 7 through 11, also allows them to participate in the actual content of the newsletter.
“Kids are encouraged to send in ideas on stories, their favorite books, riddles, recipes and information on themselves if they want a pen pal,” says Van Wie, who has a master’s degree in education and is the author and creator of the United Airlines Fun Book, “J.P. Jetsetter, King of the Friendly Skies.”
