Bradley Honored as All-American

Freddie Bradley of Moorpark College has been named a first-team junior college All-American by J.C. Grid-Wire.
Bradley (6 feet, 195 pounds), a second-team selection last season, scored 180 points, rushed for 1,946 yards and had 2,428 all-purpose yards in leading Moorpark to an 8-2 record and a berth in the Western State Conference Bowl.
Sophomore Lolesio Takapu (6-2, 235) of WSC Southern Division champion Glendale was selected as a second-team linebacker.
Honorable-mention selections included Santa Monica quarterback Jeff Barrett, a former standout at Burroughs High, Glendale running back Bobby Webster, Moorpark defensive lineman Ron Nielsen, Valley defensive back Sam Edwards, Valley punter Edward Bunn and Ventura all-purpose runner Chris Thomas.
