Avery Dennison Picks Neal as Its President

Philip M. Neal has been elected president and chief operating officer of Avery Dennison Corp. of Pasadena. Neal, 50, was named executive vice president in March. He was also elected to the board, making him the 17th director of the newly merged office products and pressure-sensitive materials company.
Neal continues to report to Charles D. Miller, chairman and chief executive.
Before joining Avery in 1974, Neal was with McKinsey & Co. of Los Angeles.
