A Jan. 23 trial date was set for three USC football players accused of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old graduate student. Willie McGinest of Long Beach, Jason Oliver of Bakersfield and Michael Jones of Granada Hills are each charged with a misdemeanor count of false imprisonment, which carries a maximum one-year jail term and/or a $1,000 fine. Jones also is charged with misdemeanor sexual battery, which is punishable by up to six months in jail and/or a $2,000 fine.
