30 El Camino Real Runners to Take Part in 24-Hour Relay
- Share via
The El Camino Real High cross-country team will run in a 24-hour relay, starting at 3 p.m. today at the school’s track.
Thirty runners from the Conquistadores’ boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams will take turns running one mile until 3 p.m. Saturday.
The event, which will raise money for Covenant House California, a crisis care agency for homeless and runaway street youths, began strictly for fun about 15 years ago. In the past five years, however, cross-country team members have solicited pledges based on distance run for charitable causes.
