Loren K. Carroll, chief of staff for the Geneva Cos., has been named to the additional position of chief financial officer. Before joining the Irvine-based financial services company in 1989, Carroll was executive vice president and chief executive of Smith International Inc. Earlier, he was managing partner of Arthur Anderson & Co.’s Tucson office.
