David W. Murphy has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of Western Digital Corp., an Irvine computer products company. He succeeds A.J. Moyer, who resigned earlier this year. Murphy was previously senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of AT&T; Paradyne, a manufacturing unit of AT&T; Corp. He joined Paradyne Corp. in 1988 as vice president of finance and administration, before the company’s acquisition by AT&T; in 1989.
