CINCINNATI — Louis Banks, the leading scorer on the University of Cincinnati’s basketball team, is due in Hamilton County Municipal Court on Jan. 16 to face an assault complaint filed by another student.
Banks, a senior from Camden, N.J., is accused of punching Craig McIlwain, another resident of the Dabney Hall student dormitory, during an argument over a card game in a student room early on Dec. 5.
Banks, who is averaging 17.1 points per game, declined comment on the charges. He is expected to play in Cincinnati’s game Saturday night at Dayton.
