TUSTIN — Fire heavily damaged a two-story house early this morning, leaving a family of four homeless and forcing evacuation of neighbors.
It was not immediately known what sparked the fire in the 14000 block of Deerfield Avenue, which was reported at 3:30 a.m., Orange County Fire Department Capt. Dan Young said.
No one was injured in the blaze, which fire officials said raged out of control for about 45 minutes and engulfed both floors of the house.
“We (had) flames through the roof and burning through both floors,” Young said.
Young said that when firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the home already “well involved” in flames.
Young said that families living on either side of the house were evacuated for their safety, but no other structures were damaged.
