SADDLE UP: Talk about bad timing. The next batch of local reservists called for action reports for duty Tuesday, the U.N. deadline for Iraq to get out of Kuwait. The 30 troops of the Army Reserve’s 109th medical detachment include several veterinarians. . . . The soldiers inspect food and care for the army’s horses and dogs. They will “start out with inspecting MREs--meals ready to eat,” a spokesman says.
