Pilots Say They Will Bid for Pan Am: Investor Kirk Kerkorian is no longer interested in buying bankrupt Pan Am Corp., but a group including the failed airline’s pilots is still planning a bid, a spokesman said. Charles Caudle, a spokesman for the pilots, said he expects to unveil a takeover bid for the airline this week. He said the bid will involve several parties, but he declined to name them. A spokesman for Kerkorian’s Tracinda Corp., which had been working with the pilots, said the Los Angeles-based investor is no longer involved.
