Terry Bennett, a reserve player on New Mexico State’s basketball team, has been named in a warrant charging him with sexual assault on a minor two years ago in Redding, Calif. Redding detective Pete Hansen said the charge stemmed from a complaint filed in 1988. Hansen said the girl initially decided not to press charges but changed her mind in 1990 after a similar complaint was filed against Bennett’s brother Corey.
