Lynwood : Henning Reelected Mayor; New Member Is Vice Mayor

Veteran Lynwood Councilman Robert Henning has been elected to a second one-year term as mayor, while the council’s newest member, Armando Rea, will be the mayor pro tem for 1991.
Henning was chosen on a 3-2 vote, with Councilmen Paul Richards and Louis Heine dissenting. Rea was selected by a 4-1 vote, with Henning dissenting.
Henning is the senior member of the five-member council. He was elected to his first four-year term in 1983. Rea was elected in 1989. He replaces Richards as mayor pro tem. The fifth council member is Evelyn Wells.
The Lynwood Unified School District Board of Education recently reorganized also, with members selecting Thelma Williams to serve as president for the year. Williams replaces Joe Battle. Willard Hawn Reed was named board vice president, replacing Williams.
