PRESIDENT BUSH vowed to redouble efforts to destroy Saddam Husseins’s war machine and said Iraq still possesses threatening chemical weapons. He hailed Israel’s restraint in responding to Iraq’s attacks and sought to assure U.S. troops that Americans support them despite anti-war demonstrations. . . JEWISH leaders condemned “the unprovoked assault” that “underscores the continuing danger of Saddam Hussein’s military arsenal.” . . .
