Glendora : 2-Story Homes Approved
Despite a councilman’s complaints that his mountain view would be blocked, the City Council on Tuesday voted to allow owners of properties at 2002 and 2004 Valiant Street to build two-story homes.
It is only fair to allow the property owners to build two-story homes because other homes in the neighborhood have two stories, Councilwoman Molly MacLeod reasoned.
The measure was approved 2 to 1, with MacLeod and Councilman Larry Glenn in favor, and Councilman Marshall Mouw opposed.
Councilman David Bodley, who lives in the neighborhood, had joined other homeowners who argued the two-story homes would block their views. Bodley addressed the council Tuesday as a private citizen, and disqualified himself from voting on the matter.
