HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Channel Islands Girls Beat Thousand Oaks

Michelle Palmisano’s 12-foot field-goal attempt missed with 19 seconds left and Channel Islands held on for a 48-46 Marmonte League victory Saturday over the first-place Lancers.
Thousand Oaks (22-2, 11-1) holds a one-game lead over Channel Islands (19-4, 10-2) and Westlake with two games remaining.
Sal Tauau scored 17 points for the Raiders. Palmisano finished with a game-high 21.
In other girls’ games:
Buena 56, Rio Mesa 50--Mia Palkie scored a game-high 27 points to lead Buena (19-2, 11-1) in a key Channel League game.
Glendale 44, Crescenta Valley 34--Jennifer Dalton had 20 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, and Tracy Young added 14 points and 17 rebounds for Glendale (16-5, 8-0) in the Pacific League game.
BOYS
Agoura 70, Royal 61--Sean Martin scored a game-high 29 points and Eddie Corridori added 17 to lead host Agoura (12-8, 6-6) in a Marmonte League game. David Tyner had 19 points for Royal (16-8, 7-5), which had a five-game winning streak snapped.
Newbury Park 61, Simi Valley 51--Tim Lane and Chris Falzone combined for 37 points to help the Panthers (7-13, 3-9) in a Marmonte League game.
Camarillo 77, Westlake 64--David Harbour scored 30 points to lead Camarillo (13-7, 7-5) in a Marmonte League game.
Glendale 76, Crescenta Valley 61--Mike Wright’s 21 points led the Dynamiters (13-9, 4-4) in a Pacific League game.
Pasadena 53, Hoover 47--Hoover’s Dave Ulloa scored 16 points in a Pacific League loss.
