MOORPARK : Newest School to Be Named Arroyo West

Moorpark’s fifth elementary school, scheduled to open in September for grades three to five, has been named Arroyo West School by the school board.
The idea for the school’s name came from Juanita Suarez, who now serves as principal of Peach Hill School.
Suarez was recently named principal of the new school.
Campus Canyon, Peach Hill and Mountain Meadows schools reflect the names of the areas where they are located, Suarez said.
Arroyo West School is in the western section of the city near the Arroyo Simi and a proposed 69-acre community park called Arroyo Vista.
