Five Oxnard teen-agers were arrested after they shot at the occupants of another car during a weekly cruise night on Saviers Road, police said Monday.
The teen-agers were driving on Saviers and exchanging gang signs with people in another car about 11 p.m. Sunday, Oxnard Police Sgt. Denny Phillips said.
They turned off Saviers and one of the teen-agers leaned out the car and fired five or six shots at the other car at the intersection of Elm Street and Valley Park Drive, Phillips said. Police said no one was injured and no cars were damaged.
Arrested on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited vehicle were Robert Ramirez, 18; Robert Diaz, 19; Juan Carrillo, 18; James Jaquez, 18; and a 17-year-old male, Phillips said.
