MUM’S THE WORD: The Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce wants to honor Southern California’s only weapons depot with a June 30 bash. “We want to create a public awareness of just what the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station did during Desert Storm,” chamber President Dennis Pollman said. Problem is, the station commander, Capt. Stephen Holl, won’t say, “but what I can say is that we were kept awfully busy.” An exasperated chamber spokesman said: “We want to honor him and the base’s role, and we don’t know it.”
