Marketing Black Films

I am curious why the information in the sidebar (“Selling the Black Film in a Country Full of White Theaters”) wasn’t integrated with the main article, since those eight paragraphs came closer to the truth:
Fewer white people are attending black-themed films now than in the ‘70s because racial tension is building. They don’t want to end up in the middle of a possible riot. Why should they--or anyone of color, for that matter--risk their lives when in a few months they can rent the video or watch on cable TV in the safety of their locked homes?
A message to the alleged marketing experts: Get real!
