Munsingwear Files for Chapter 11: Apparel maker Munsingwear Inc. filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code in U.S. District Court. President Charles J. Campbell said the filing was necessary to complete the Minneapolis firm’s restructuring. Munsingwear will restructure $50 million in unsecured debt, mainly bonds the company sold in the 1980s.
