Cat Shelter Closure, Abandonment of Tame Rats Decried

Your coverage concerning the closure of the Concerned Animal Lovers facility was of interest to many people. They helped me with a cat and her two sets of kittens. Neighbors had abandoned her when she was pregnant, and she came to me with all her kittens to be fed.
The shelter received no tax dollars and was operated with voluntary contributions. Now there is no place to go for help with stray or abandoned cats. They will be left to die from hunger, wounds or being struck by cars.
