Satan-Worshiper Who Killed Woman in Rampage at Resort Gets a Life Term

BRISBANE, Australia — A Satan-worshiping gunman who killed a woman in a rampage through a seaside resort was sentenced to life in prison Friday.
Rodney Dale, 27, dressed in black, left a note for his girlfriend--”Deb, gone hunting, love Rodney”--before setting off on the shooting rampage, killing the woman and wounding seven people.
On the day of the shooting in April last year, friends had helped Dale carve the satanic insignia 666 into both his hands, the court was told.
He then took amphetamines, drank alcohol and smeared a wall in his apartment with the word “Satan” and other markings.
He fired about 44 shots from his balcony on Queensland’s Gold Coast, then walked out the street, firing on cars, including a wedding procession.
