Everest & Jennings Secures $3-Million Line of Credit

Everest & Jennings International Ltd., a financially troubled Camarillo-based maker of wheelchairs and other medical equipment, said it has secured a $3-million line of credit for its Smith & Davis subsidiary in St. Louis from Congress Financial Corp. Smith & Davis manufactures nursing home beds and hospital furniture.
Everest & Jennings, which has been reducing its losses through cost cutting, said the new credit line is part of its overall restructuring and will be used for working capital.
