American Express Opens Albania Office

Vienna, Austria — American Express has opened an office in Albania, the state ATA news agency reported.
American Express is the second major credit card company, after Mastercard-Eurocard, to establish a presence in the former communist country. Albania was the last of the formercommunist countries to throw off its Stalinist rulers and establish a multiparty system.
