The body of a 27-year-old woman, the apparent victim of a beating, was found Tuesday in a culvert, Carlsbad police said.
Tina Daniele of San Diego was discovered shortly before 8 a.m. in the 2500 block of El Camino Real, Lt. Don Lewis said.
The victim was partly clothed and had been beaten about the head, Lewis said. She was believed to have died within the 24 hours before she was found, Lewis said.
