In other nonleague girls’ tennis:
Esperanza 13, Canyon 5--Visiting Esperanza (4-1) swept all three singles and at No. 1 doubles.
Irvine 12, Woodbridge 6--Twins Alessandra and Milvia Schinaia helped host Irvine (2-0). Alessandra swept her sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1. Milvia won two sets.
Villa Park 10, Fullerton 8--Ashley Thurston swept in singles, 6-1, 7-6, 6-3, for host Villa Park. Juanita Chang and Jennifer Kim swept in doubles, 6-2, 6-4, 6-3, for Villa Park.
In nonleague water polo:
Brea-Olinda 8, Laguna Hills 6--Casey King scored twice and Tim Bostrom and Bryan Noyes each scored in the fourth quarter as visiting Brea-Olinda (1-0) rallied.
