Ogilvy & Mather Gets L.A. Gear Account: L.A. Gear Inc. announced that Ogilvy & Mather Advertising has been awarded the estimated $30-million account for 1992. Ogilvy & Mather New York and Los Angeles will handle the account, with senior creative staffing being headed up by creative head Bill Hamilton and executive creative director Rick Boyko, both of whom have significant advertising experience in the athletic footwear industry. L.A. Gear formerly handled its advertising in house.
