A robber held up a branch of the Ventura County Federal Credit Union in Camarillo Thursday and escaped with less than $3,000, authorities said.
At 2:15 p.m. a man who appeared to be in his early 30s approached a teller in the nearly empty credit union at 2357 Pickwick Drive, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Keith Lazz.
The man gave the teller a note demanding money, Lazz said.
He fled in a tan pickup, Lazz said.
The suspect was described as about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and dressed in a dark jacket and dirty denim pants, said Gary Auer, head of the FBI’s Ventura office.
