Bush’s Trade Trip to Asia

After reading Richard Reeves’ article “Buy American, or Maybe Japanese” (Commentary, Dec. 31), I wonder why President Bush and the so-called business leaders going with him bother to go to Japan. It appears that we, through the efforts of our own miserable politicians, are shooting ourselves in the foot--much to the pleasure of our Asian friends!
