Forward Esa Tikkanen will be lost to the Edmonton Oilers for the next three months because of a broken shoulder.
Tikkanen, who had 12 goals and 16 assists in 38 games, was injured when he was checked into the boards during a 3-2 victory Saturday over the Calgary Flames.
