GARDEN GROVE LEAGUE GIRLS’ BASKETBALL : Rancho Alamitos Rolls Over Bolsa Grande

Shannon James scored 23 points, 21 in the first half, as Rancho Alamitos defeated Bolsa Grande, 84-30, in a Garden Grove League girls’ basketball game Friday at Bolsa Grande.
Akilah Rodgers added 18 for Rancho Alamitos (5-2, 2-0 in league). Rancho Alamitos outscored Bolsa Grande, 25-6, in the first quarter and led, 48-16, at the half.
In other Garden Grove League games:
Kennedy 46, Pacifica 34--Lynley Matsumoto scored 20 points for Kennedy. Jennifer Surfis scored nine points for Pacifica (2-10, 0-2).
Santiago 68, Los Amigos 29--Teisha Kennett scored 18 points and America Robledo had 15 points and nine assists for visiting Santiago (5-6, 2-0). Santiago led, 20-5, after the first quarter and held Los Amigos to three points in the third quarter.
