Opening the Kennedy File?: Rep. Louis Stokes (D-Ohio) is considering opening sealed files about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in an attempt to quell the controversy stirred by director Oliver Stone’s movie “JFK.” “The release would totally destroy any allegations by (Stone) or anyone else that these sealed records contain anything that is a cover-up,” Stokes said. The Cleveland Plain Dealer said that Stokes has blocked others’ efforts to release the records but now apparently has changed his mind because of Stone’s movie. Stokes would need the approval of the full House to open the records.
