Martha’s Cafe

Wow! In today’s era of fast-food joints, high-rise buildings and an impersonal, computerized attitude in general, it’s refreshing to read of Martha Linden, who still defies the odds and operates Martha’s Cafe (Jan. 7) at age 86! This “rebel with a cause” epitomizes the pioneer spirit that made America great. With her large family, I’m sure that someone will always carry on.

On my next drive to Las Vegas I plan to visit Martha’s Cafe if only to meet Martha Linden, but I’ll undoubtedly buy a hamburger--if she holds the onions!
