COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Biola Offense Too Much for Master’s, 97-85

The Master’s College used a variety of high-pressure defenses--including a full-court press in the final 10 minutes--but it was not enough to stop Biola as the Eagles won their 12th consecutive game, 97-85.
Biola (19-3), ranked 11th in the NAIA poll, is 8-1 in District 3 play.
Biola went on a 17-8 run in the final 4 1/2 minutes of the first half to take a 47-37 halftime lead. Master’s (15-8, 7-1) fell behind by 20 points with 10:55 left in the second half and got no closer than 10 points the rest of the way.
Jason Webster led Master’s with 28 points and had six rebounds. Biola was led by forward Mike Coffin with 19 points and 14 assists.
Master’s shot 47% (35 of 74) from the field for the game, but hit just 39% (18 of 46) of its shots in the second half.
