At the insistence of a penny-pinching husband, I recently made the journey from the Los Angeles International Airport to the Amtrak station by public transport. One shuttle, one bus cost $1.50. The helpfulness of the drivers of these vehicles does your city proud. What future travelers will say of the fractured routing to come (“The Mighty L.A. Transportation Commission That Shouldn’t,” Opinion, Jan. 19) is another matter.
