Federal Community Development Block Grant money totaling $232,294 will go to home rehabilitation, a senior services building and a new literacy program.
The City Council decided Tuesday to allocate $135,000 for interest-free home repairs loans to low-to-moderate-income homeowners, $59,065 to build a 4,000-square-foot facility at La Fetra Senior Services Center and $15,000 to set up Glendora Reads!, a program to teach adults to read.
The remaining $23,229 will be used for administration.
