Wolfgang Hoppe, Germany’s top bobsledder, lost a spot in the two-man Olympic event when two teammates defeated him in a race-off. Hoppe, 34, who won the two-man and four-man events in 1984 and was a double silver medalist in 1988, is expected to enter the Feb. 22-23 four-man race.
