$30,000 Raised in Lupus Benefit

Cedars-Sinai Lupus Research Program will receive more than $30,000, proceeds from the Feb. 20 premiere screening of “Radio Flyer” at Cineplex Odeon Century Plaza Cinemas. The benefit was underwritten by Columbia Pictures, Stonebridge Entertainment and Donner/Shuler-Donner Productions.
Starlight Foundation of Southern California raised more than $7,000 at its Feb. 15 “American Gladiators” celebrity benefit at UCLA. Refreshments were donated by Tony Danza, toys by Mattel. Starlight raises money to grant wishes to seriously ill children.
Hollywood Arts Council will use the $22,500 raised at the Jan. 31 Charlie Awards luncheon to promote, nurture and support the arts in Hollywood. The event, underwritten by USAir was held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
Equity Fights AIDS will receive more than $2,500 raised Jan. 29 at the Santa Monica Playhouse benefit performance of Jerry Mayer’s comedy, “A Love Affair.”
