Rain Washes Out Padre Game; Doubleheader Scheduled Today

YUMA, Ariz. — The Padres’ spring-training game Saturday against the Angels was rained out, and will be rescheduled today as part of a split doubleheader at 9 a.m. (PST) today at Sun Desert Stadium.
Ed Whitson will pitch the first game for the Padres, and Bruce Hurst is scheduled the second game, which will begin at 12:05 (PST).
Fans holding tickets for Saturday’s game can either request a refund by sending the original tickets to the Caballeros de Yuma, exchange their tickets at the stadium ticket window for another spring-training game this spring, or use them for the morning game today.
