GIRLS’ BASKETBALL REGIONAL PLAYOFFS : Pairings Are Set for Brea, Tustin, Rancho Alamitos

Brea-Olinda and Rancho Alamitos will be at home and Tustin takes to the road Tuesday in the first round of the Southern California Regional girls’ basketball playoffs.
Brea (28-2) is the top-seeded team in Division III and plays host to No. 8 Santee West Hills (8-16) at 7:30 p.m. The Ladycats won the Southern Section Division III-AA championship Saturday with a 49-35 victory over Morningside.
Rancho Alamitos (21-2), is seeded second in Division III, and meets No. 7 Wasco (22-5) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Vaqueros defeated West Covina South Hills, 68-66, in the Southern Section Division III-A title game Saturday.
Tustin (21-8), which lost to Cerritos Gahr, 63-37, in the Southern Section Division II-AA championship game Saturday, is seeded eighth in Division II of the regionals.
The Tillers travel to top-seeded Carlsbad (23-2) for the first-round game at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
