SAN MARCOS : Drug Distributor Gets 10 Years

A San Marcos man described as a major North County methamphetamine distributor was sentenced Monday to 10 years in federal prison.
Kevin D. White, whose age was unavailable, surrendered to bailiffs after the sentencing. He had been free on a $200,000 property bond.
White earlier agreed to forfeit to the government $420,020 in cash discovered in a drug raid, three residences in San Marcos, three trucks and a video camcorder.
“He agreed to forfeit about $800,000 in property,” Assistant U.S. Atty. L. J. O’Neale said. “That was all the proceeds of narcotics trafficking.”
White pleaded guilty Dec. 12 to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine between 1987 and July, 1989. He also pleaded guilty to laundering money from drug proceeds and a weapons violation.
