Kicker Mike Lansford, who was out of football last year after nine seasons with the Rams, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Chief Coach Marty Schottenheimer said Lansford is being brought in to compete with long-time starter Nick Lowery, who is unsigned and could be a summer holdout.
Lansford left the Rams for the Cleveland Browns during the 1991 Plan B period, but was cut the next day after failing the team’s physical.
