A walking tour of Brea’s historical homes and churches will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
Constructed between 1919 and 1938, the seven houses and two churches represent several architectural styles, including craftsman, colonial revival and provincial revival. Also included in the tour is a log cabin, built in 1921 by a Bible study group at the Brea Missionary Baptist Church.
The tour will begin at City Hall Park, 401 S. Brea Blvd., where participants will receive brochures and maps. At each stop, docents will answer questions about the history and architecture of the building.
All the stops on the tour are within four blocks, according to Lisa Donnell of the city’s Planning Department.
Tickets are $8 and are available at City Hall Park. For more information, call (714) 990-7771.
